Orders & Shipping
How long will it take to receive my order?
Please allow 7–10 business days for order processing and fulfillment. Shipping times are separate and vary depending on the carrier and destination.
Will I receive tracking information?
Yes. Once your order ships, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information.
My package says delivered, but I can't find it. What should I do?
Please check with household members, neighbors, your building management, or the carrier directly. Soul Food Candle Co. is not responsible for packages that are lost or stolen after delivery has been confirmed by the carrier.
Do you ship internationally?
Currently, Soul Food Candle Co. ships to customers within the United States and Puerto Rico. While we do not offer international shipping at this time, we appreciate the support from our community around the world and hope to expand in the future.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Orders are processed quickly to ensure timely fulfillment. Once an order has been placed, we cannot guarantee modifications or cancellations.

What kind of wax do you use?
Our candles are made with premium soy wax and carefully selected fragrance oils to provide a clean, even burn and an enjoyable scent experience.
Are your candles handmade?
Yes. Each candle is hand-poured in small batches and carefully inspected before shipment.
How strong are your candles?
Fragrance perception varies from person to person and depends on factors such as room size, airflow, ceiling height, and scent profile. Some fragrances naturally throw stronger than others.
Why does my candle look imperfect?
Because our candles are made with natural waxes, minor variations in color, texture, frosting, or surface appearance may occur. These variations do not affect the performance of the candle.
Why does the wax look uneven after burning?
Natural waxes can sometimes cool unevenly, develop wet spots, or create slight texture changes. These cosmetic variations are normal and do not impact burn quality.
Candle Care
How do I get the best burn from my candle?
Allow the wax pool to reach the edges of the container during the first burn. This helps prevent tunneling and promotes an even burn throughout the life of the candle.
How long should I burn my candle?
We recommend burning your candle for 2–4 hours at a time.
Should I trim the wick?
Yes. Trim the wick to approximately 1/4 inch before each burn to help maintain a clean, even flame.
Why is my candle tunneling?
Tunneling occurs when the candle is extinguished before a full melt pool has formed. Allowing the wax to melt fully across the surface during each burn can help prevent this.
What should I do if my candle produces soot?
A small amount of soot may occur if the wick becomes too long. Trim the wick before each use and avoid placing candles near fans, vents, or drafts.
Heat & Seasonal Shipping
My candle arrived soft, melted, or discolored. Is it still safe to use?
During periods of extreme heat, candles may soften or experience minor cosmetic changes during transit. In most cases, these changes do not affect performance. If your order arrives significantly damaged, please contact us within 7 days of delivery.
Why does my candle have small imperfections?
Hand-poured candles made with natural waxes may display slight imperfections, including frosting, texture variations, or minor color differences. These characteristics are normal and do not affect quality.
Returns & Exchanges
Do you accept returns or exchanges?
All sales are final. We do not accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations.
What if my order arrives damaged?
Please contact us within 7 days of delivery and include your order number along with photos of the product and packaging. We will review the issue and work toward an appropriate resolution.
Safety
Can I leave my candle burning unattended?
No. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
How far should candles be kept from other objects?
Keep candles away from children, pets, flammable materials, curtains, bedding, and other combustible items.
When should I stop burning my candle?
Discontinue use when approximately 1/2 inch of wax remains at the bottom of the container.
Can I reuse the candle vessel?
Yes. Once the candle has completely finished burning and the vessel has cooled, it can be cleaned and repurposed for decorative or storage use.
